NOTICE OF GENERAL PLAN WORKSHOPS

The City of Daly City is updating its plan for future land uses and is in the midst of an extensive effort to gain resident and business owner input on what community-wide issues the plan should address and what the long-term vision for Daly City should be. On Thursday, May 8, 2008, the City will hold the last in a series of three workshops intended for this purpose. This last meeting will focus on a community vision statement which has been prepared by the City's land use consultant working on the General Plan update. The workshop will occur between 7:00PM and 9:00PM in the War Memorial Community Center located at 6655 Mission Street, Daly City. Parking for the workshops will be provided at the First National Bank Parking Lot located at 6600 Mission Street, beginning at 6:30PM.

Also as part of the update, the City has completed a survey of residents and business owners provide to gain input from these groups on the physical qualities of Daly City that they like, which they do not like, and which qualities they would like to change. The results of this survey are located the General Plan Library in a document labeled "Survey Results".

More information about the update is provided in the Special Edition Fogcutter, which can be downloaded from this page. Questions can be directed to the Daly City Planning Division at (650) 991-8033.
