OF GENERAL PLAN WORKSHOPS The
City of Daly City is updating its plan for future land uses and
is in the midst of an extensive effort to gain resident and business
owner input on what community-wide issues the plan should address
and what the long-term vision for Daly City should be. On Thursday,
May 8, 2008, the City will hold the last in a series of three workshops
intended for this purpose. This last meeting will focus on a community
vision statement which has been prepared by the City's land use
consultant working on the General Plan update. The workshop will
occur between 7:00PM and 9:00PM in the War Memorial Community Center
located at 6655 Mission Street, Daly City. Parking for the workshops
will be provided at the First National Bank Parking Lot located
at 6600 Mission Street, beginning at 6:30PM.
Also as part
of the update, the City has completed a survey of residents and
business owners provide to gain input from these groups on the physical
qualities of Daly City that they like, which they do not like, and
which qualities they would like to change. The results of this survey
are located the General Plan Library in a document labeled "Survey
Results".
